He's not even a smart liar

Obama claims that he just heard about Jonathan Gruber today. Just for the record, this lie isn't even believable once. Anyone who has paid any attention to the news has probably heard about Jonathan Gruber 100 times in the past week. But Obama just heard about him today? This has been the hottest anti-Obamacare story for a week and Obama expects us to believe he hasn't heard about it? That's not believable on any level. But suppose it's true. This is Obama's defense? That he's the most clueless person in America and his staff is utterly incompetent? Really? That's his defense?


So now we're supposed to believe that the President of the United States not only gets all his information from watching the evening news, but that he has a one-week time delay. Maybe Biden videotapes the news on Betamax for him and he waits a week before watching?

(It doesn't help his cause that he's used this defense for the last fifty or so scandals in his administration.)

We knew he was a liar; it's just surprising that after so much practice, he's still so bad at it.

Obama the negotiator

Ahhh ... it's good to see that Obama is as good at negotiating as he is at everything else. He's just negotiated a deal with China on carbon emissions. In return for the United States eviscerating its economy by drastically slashing carbon emissions by 2025, China has promised to start reducing its emissions in 2030. Honest.

Excellent. If Obama has his way, the United States will commit economic suicide right away based on the promise that the Chinese will begin to reduce their carbon emissions four presidential terms from now. And I think we all know exactly how much promises from the Chinese government are worth.

Maybe this crack negotiator can make some similar deals with me. Here are some that he could probably talk me into using his awesome skills:

1. In return for giving me immediate use of Air Force One whenever I want it, I will promise to start sending him Christmas cards in 2030.
2. In return for giving me all tax collected on gasoline from now until the end of time, I vow to start reducing my Big Mac intake in 2030.
3. In return for signing Camp David over to me, I will agree to start putting at least some items in a blue box in 2030.  

I'm guessing countries are going to be lining up to make deals with Obama after this.

Is Islam a religion of peace?

Obviously, there are millions of Muslims who are peace-loving, decent human beings.

That being said, they are so in spite of Islam, not because of it. That Islam is not a religion of peace is evident for the following reasons and more.

1. Their founder has gone on record - at length, and repeatedly - calling for the worst of violence against non-Muslims. Contrast this with, for example, the teachings of Christ that we should love our enemies and turn the other cheek.
2. Certainly not all Muslims are terrorists, but virtually all terrorists are Muslims. In a purely hypothetical sense, this doesn't 100% guarantee that there's a causal relationship between Islam and terrorism, but in a practical sense, it does. It isn't a coincidence that virtually all terrorists are Muslims.
3. Along those lines, where are the tens of thousands of Christian, Jewish, Hindu, Bhuddist, etc. terrorists? Is it possible to scour the globe to find a handful of people who are terrorists and claim to represent a religion other than Islam? Certainly! There are 7 billion people on Earth. What do you expect? But they are bizarre aberrations. But Islam produces hundreds of thousands of these psychos.
4. Finally, although the vast majority of Muslims aren't terrorists, do you know when else they aren't? They aren't screaming from the hilltops denouncing the psychos who are supposedly sullying their religion. If there were a group of Christians hacking off the heads of journalists and butchering men, women, and children in the name of Christ, you can be sure that the loudest critics of those "Christians" would be the millions of actual Christians around the world. Pretty much every Christian and church on the planet would be stridently denouncing such abominations. And they would do it without any reservations or qualifiers. Where is the similar backlash from "moderate" Muslims? Very few are willing to denounce acts. Even fewer are willing to do it wholeheartedly. If Islam is a religion of peace and if the overwhelming majority of Muslims are appalled by the horrors that are practiced daily and worldwide in its name, where is the thundering, unified cry of opposition from "moderate" Muslims? The silence is deafening.

Obama success #2

Obama dislocated his shoulder patting himself on the back non-stop for a year about ending the war in Iraq and leaving Iraq safe and stable. He promised us that, due to his inherent majesty, all serious threat of terrorists had been ended. Furthermore, he smugly corrected those who worried that ISIS was a threat by comparing ISIS to a JV basketball team. Having been proved appallingly wrong on both counts, Obama is now denying that he was responsible for withdrawing troops from Iraq. It's understandable that he expects the MSM to cover up his lie, but doesn't he know the rest of us have access to the internet?

Iraq is in chaos. You're awesome, Obama.

Obama success #1

Obama promised to "press the reset button" with Russia. Well, he did. The cold war is back on! Russia is invading other countries. Excellent work, Obama!

Body Language

It is striking that both Obama and Biden opted to use body language as their strategy for winning their respective debates. Not surprisingly, both lost. But there are several points worth making in this regard:

1. This demonstrates that they are both unserious men. It is one thing to employ body language as a tactic when appropriate. It is an altogether different matter to employ it as a strategy. The first can be shrewd and wise. The second is foolish and betrays the shallowness of those who employ it. Romney and Ryan had substance as their strategy. Obama and Biden had style (and extremely lame style at that) as their strategy. This defect has characterized the entire presidency (and, in fact, career) of Obama.

2. It is striking that, having opted to use body language as their strategy, both Obama and Biden were so horrifically bad at even that. Presumably, Obama was attempting to appear calm and presidential. Instead, he came across as apathetic and out of touch. Who can say for sure what was going through Biden's mind (apart from the usual: "Oh, look! Something shiny!")? But we can only assume that at least his handlers were hoping that he would come across as the wise, dignified statesman schooling the foolish, naive child. Instead, he came across as a stooge, giggling at a nuclear Iran and 23 million Americans unemployed. If you're going to be a one-trick pony, you should at least learn the trick.

3. Part of what caused them to fail so miserably is that ham-fisted overuse of their chosen strategies. One of the reasons body language doesn't work as a strategy is because you only get a few uses out of it before it becomes gratingly repetitive. To attempt to use the same lame little trick one hundred times in an hour and a half is a mistake normal people wouldn't even expect children to make. To base your strategy on style instead of substance is bad enough. But to base it on style when you're so bad at it, is inexplicable.

4. Finally ... TWICE?! Really?! After this strategy led Obama to the most humiliating defeat in the history of presidential debates, how clueless does the Obama brain trust have to be to say, "Here's a good idea... let's try it again!" No wonder these clowns have failed so miserably at everything they've put their hand to for the last four years.

Debate prep?

So, Joe "the brain" Biden is taking six days off of campaigning in order to prep for his debate with Paul Ryan. Really? Can one of the dumbest guys in politics get ready to debate one of the smartest guys in politics in six days? I mean, look what Romney did to Obama in debate and, given that Biden is even dumber than Obama and Ryan is even smarter than Romney, how can six days help?

To use math, if Romney's 50-point IQ advantage over Obama led to the devastation we saw last Wednesday, what will Ryan's 100-point IQ advantage over Biden lead to?

No, although Joe is almost certainly dumb enough to think he can take on Ryan, you have to think that after last Wednesday, even Joe's handlers (and believe me, he has handlers ... we all know what happens when the adults let Joe out on his own) can smell the coming apocalypse.

Which leads me to the real reason for the six days off: any excuse Obama, Axelrod, etc. can find to keep Joe away from a microphone for six days is good enough for them. They're probably trying to convince Joe to stay in his special room prepping right up until the super-secret second VP debate on November 7.
